Small Bore - Year Round

Smallbore is the club's year round activity. We shoot .22 iron sight rifles at 50m in a semi-indoor range. The format of the shoot is very similar to the Olympic smallbore prone competition and the target size is nearly identical. Over the course of the year scores are totalled and we recognize our top smallbore shooters at the end of the year. Most of our members enjoy smallbore the most as it is a cheap and fun way to improve their shooting skills. Few focus on the overall year's results as this type of competition is more about self improvement than big trophies.

Full Bore - Summer Months (April to September)

If long ranges and a bigger bang are your thing, then you will love our fullbore program. We shoot SwissArms PE90, Schmidt-Rubin K31, or other qualifying open sight rifle 300m on the club's outdoor range thoughout the summer months. Most months also have special shoots or various postal matches associated with them. The scores are combined for the fullbore program and the top shooters are recognized at the end of the year. Many of the fullbore programs also have prizes for the top shooters for that shoot, or medals for those who obtain certain scores. This variety allows for everyone to partake in the fun regardless of their personal competitive spirit.

Schutzenfest - Labour Day Long Weekend

If there was ever a celebration of shooting, Schutzenfest is it! This two day event takes place on the Labour Day long weekend and offers a variety of programs and prizes. Members and non-members alike get together to enjoy fullbore, smallbore and fun shoots over the weekend. Each day is followed up by a big dinner, games and some great stories of how close everyone came to the "Mousche" (bull's-eye).
